Mental Health (MH) Adult Uniform Assessment Calculation of Level of Care- Recommended A correction has been made to CMBHS to no longer allow adults with a diagnosis of Major Depression without psychosis to be eligible for LOC-4. With the correction, CMBHS is now consistent with the DSHS MH Utilization Management Guidelines. Only adults with a diagnosis of Major Depression with psychosis are eligible for LOC-4.

 

Any MH Uniform Assessment entered in CMBHS after July 13, 2014, will calculate the Level of Care correctly. DSHS will make no changes to LOCs that were incorrectly calculated in the past.

NOTE: If an Adult Uniform Assessment entered into CMBHS with an Assessment Date prior to July 13, 2014 is opened and edited, CMBHS will recalculate the LOC using the corrected process. The LOC may change from an incorrect LOC to the correct LOC.

 All Mental Health Services Users
Mental Health (MH) Uniform Assessments The following improvements and corrections have been made to the CMBHS Data Exchange/Batch Process:
  • The number of days a data transaction will remain in the dependency queue has been extended from 14 to 21 days;
  • The CMBHS data exchange process has been changed to only accept an Initial (Non-Admission) Assessments for clients who do have an active Episode of Care (EOC);
  • Additional validation has been added to the data exchange process to prevent users from future dating assessments;
  • Client is 6 and is sending in CANS and we are rejecting saying client is under 6. Age logic changed to include leap year.
  • Age calculation (for both batch and online data entry) will both be based on the client’s age on the date the assessment was administered.
Mental Health Services Users that Exchange Data with CMBHS (Batch)
Individual Plans of Care (IPC) and Mental Health (MH) Uniform Assessments
  • YES Waiver Individual Plans of Care (IPC) now include signature blocks for all the required signatures when the documented is printed.
  • A problem users experienced when entering the 10th Adaptive Aid or Minor Home Modification into an IPC, has been corrected.
  • Some YES Waiver LMHAs experienced problems entering Crisis Assessments into CMBHS when there was an open EOC at another LMHA. This has been fixed so that Crisis Assessments can be successfully entered.
