Pregnancy and Postpartum Intervention Services (PPI) |
A new note type, Life Event Note (LEN), has been
added to CMBHS primarily for use by Case Managers at PPI locations. This new
note replaces a manual process and allows PPI programs to document important
information about a client’s delivery and newborn. Roles: The
CMBHS roles of Case
Manager, Clinical Data Entry, Clinical Supervisor, Clinician, Nurse,
Paraprofessional, Paraprofessional Supervisor, Security Administrator, and
Student Intern have
Read-Write access to this note type. Rules for the Life Event Note: ·
the
only pre-requisite prior to completion of a LEN is for a Client Profile; o the Client Profile must have
a date that is prior to the date of the LEN; ·
the
LEN can be documented for all client types (male, female, adult or youth); ·
one
or more LENs can be created for a client on the same date; ·
the
Service Date field will auto-populate with today’s date but can be changed by
the user; ·
the
number entered for “How many live births occurring during this delivery” must
match the number entered for “Child Information” count. ·
The
LEN has two (2) document statuses: Draft and Closed Complete. o Draft status: The LEN can
only be edited in Draft status. More than 1 LEN can be saved in Draft status
but users should ensure they are not creating duplicate notes. ·
the
Print and Attachment features for the LEN are active and work the same as on
other CMBHS pages. ·

Long Term Services and Supports (LTSS)
Application Changes
|
A new version of
the LTSS Terms of Use (TOU) document will be published on June 30, 2018 in
electronic and paper form. All DADS, DSHS, and HHSC personnel and contracted
vendor and provider staff that are part of the LTSS business process will be
required to use the new TOU document when interacting with public citizens
seeking services. Workers should only use new long version of the TOU when
reading the TOU to public citizens. A project team
was assembled in March 2018 using the Access and Eligibility Services (AES)
IT Governance process to coordinate an enhancement to the LTSS application
functionality and update the TOU language that public citizens sign to
indicate they understand how HHS will use the information they provide when
seeking services they may be eligible for. The enhancement will alter functionality
to allow screening and referral information to be viewed by certain HHS and contracted
vendor staff after the TOU expiration date. The changes will go into effect
on June 30, 2018. The new TOU
version will be reflected in the Your Texas Benefits mobile application and https://yourtexasbenefits.com website, the LTSS worker portal, and impact the DSHS Clinical
Management for Behavioral Health Services (CMBHS) business processes. The new
TOU is available in English and Spanish language versions. The TOU changes
will apply when interacting with clients in person and over the telephone. 2. Need Help?
