CMBHS Login DSHS has made improvements to CMBHS to further ensure system security and protect client health information. Once a week, CMBHS will disable any user accounts that have been inactive for more than 90 days.

If a user tries to login to CMBHS after their account has been disabled, a message will display on the Login page, “Authentication failed. User is disabled.” If your account is disabled due to inactivity, contact your local CMBHS Security Administrator or their back-up. They are the only persons who can reactivate your CMBHS account or reset your password. The DSHS CMBHS Help Line cannot reactivate your account or reset your password.

NOTE TO CMBHS SECURITY ADMINISTRATORS: A recent review of several CMBHS user organizations revealed a very large number of user accounts in Initiated status for long periods of time. It is the responsibility of the CMBHS Security Administrator to ensure that CMBHS accounts are created only for staff that need access to fulfill their job responsibilities. Routinely providing access to a class of employees (i.e. all counselors) without documentation of need and management approval is unacceptable. Even though DSHS has implemented a new process to disable inactive accounts, please continue to monitor accounts.

Also, ensure that accounts are terminated immediately after an employee is no longer employed/contracting with your organization or has been transferred within your organization and no longer needs access. As a Security Administrator, this is one of your most important responsibilities and failure to terminate accounts in a timely manner could have serious consequences for the people we serve, your organization and DSHS.
