CMBHS Login Page and Internet Browser/ Version Compatibility

An improvement has been made to CMBHS to inform users at the time of log in to CMBHS that their Internet browser/version is not compatible with CMBHS.

The following message will appear on the CMBHS Login page when an incompatibility issue exists: “You have landed here because your browser is not compatible with CMBHS. CMBHS is compatible only with Internet Explorer (IE) 7, 8, & 9.”

Using an internet browser that is not “compatible” with CMBHS means either it is the wrong browser type, such as Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, or it is the correct browser type, Internet Explorer but the wrong version, such as IE 10. At this time, CMBHS will only work correctly when you are using Internet Explorer version 7, 8 or 9.

If your computer is set to update the version of Internet Explorer automatically, you may suddenly find yourself experiencing an array of problems in CMBHS without explanation.

The warning of CMBHS’ limitations regarding browsers/versions has been posted on the CMBHS log in page since its deployment in 2009. Users have been warned in the monthly CMBHS calls and by the Help Line that although at first it may appear as though CMBHS works with other browsers and versions of Internet Explorer, problems will develop!

NOTE: The version of Internet Explorer available to DSHS for development and support of CMBHS is determined by HHSC/DSHS IT.

All CMBHS Users
Client Profile Dates In order to ensure that all client records created in or migrated to CMBHS can be accessed by users, a change has been made to the Client Profile Date. The Client Profiles for some clients have been changed so that the Client Profile Date is now their birthdate plus one (1) day. This will ensure that no migrated records will have a creation date prior to the CMBHS Client Profile Date. This will not negatively impact any of the CMBHS functions or documents in the client’s CMBHS record. All CMBHS Users
Zip Codes Updated The CMBHS table of zip codes has been updated to be consistent with the most recent version of the United States Postal Service zip codes as published on USPS.com. All CMBHS Users
Claims for Residential Services In the past, CMBHS has allowed more than one residential service to be open at the same time, resulting in the creation of multiple day rate attendance for the same day. Providers have inadvertently submitted claims for more than one residential service for the same day for the same client. An improvement has been made to CMBHS to prevent users from submitting claims for two residential services for the same day for the same client. Substance Abuse Services Providers
Mental Health Temporary Online Level of Care Calculator The temporary online Mental Health Level of Care (LOC) calculator has been disabled in CMBHS as planned. To calculate a mental health LOC, either use your local electronic system or login to CMBHS, document a Client Profile and MH Diagnosis for the client, and then complete a Mental Health Uniform Assessment. Mental Health Services Providers
Service Authorization List Printing Users reported that after moving from a Client’s Workspace to the Service Authorization List page and then trying to print out the Service Authorization List, would result in the client’s name printing at the top of the paper. This printing problem has been corrected. Unfortunately a long standing print problem remains on this page, where only half of the page header prints. NorthSTAR Mental Health and Substance Abuse Users
Mental Health Level of Care (LOC) LOC-9 Level of Care (LOC) LOC-9, has been added to the LOC Authorized (LOC-A) drop down list for Assessment types <> Initial. This is to support NorthSTAR BHO in indicating the correct reason a client is not provided NorthSTAR mental health services. This change impacts CMBHS online and batch users. NorthSTAR BHO Mental Health Users
Batch Error Correction List An improvement has been made to the Batch Error Correction List page. A Location filter has been added to allow users to make all the corrections needed at one location before moving to the next. Mental Health Users that Batch Data to CMBHS
