Statistics on attendance and usage of HHSC’s Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) program can be accessed in reports created in and generated by CMBHS. These reports provide statistics for to the Texas State Legislature and allows LMHAs and LBHAs (BMOs) to track their MHFA data in CMBHS.

To enter data, users need to have the MH First Aid Statistic role in CMBHS to enter the data. Please request this from your CMBHS Security Administrator.

CMBHS provides a place to enter new data about Mental Health First Aid services. To begin, navigate to the Business Office tab of the Administrative Toolbar and choose Mental Health First Aid Statistics. Then follow these steps:

3. The buttons displayed are Save, and Edit Complete the Data entry fields listed below. Once completed hit Save. You can edit data after saving.
When the created record is saved in the table grid on Mental Health First Aid Statistics page (MHF001).
For School Districts: System shows the cumulative sum of the educational entities numbers (School data) for same ISD.
For University/Higher Ed. System displays the individual records created for the month.
4. To view the school data for particular ISD at the granular level, follow the following steps:
Note: If the user wants to remove or delete the created ‘University/Higher Ed) data, the action can be completed on MHF001 screen. However, To complete the deletion for School data, The user has to navigate to MHF003 screen.

5. These are required fields. The Number of active trainers, number of trainers who have left the program, School District or University/Higher Ed., and date.
6. Click the Add button, and a new data row appears.
7. To edit an existing record, select the record’s new row and click the Edit button.
8. Existing records can be searched by School District or University/Higher Ed, the Fiscal year radio button, or a date range in the Start date and End Date fields.
9. Click on the record in the list.
10. To remove a record, click the “Remove” button. To make changes to a record click “Edit” and “Save” to complete the update.
To generate an MHFA report, the user must have the MHFA Provider Report role in CMBHS.

Mental Health First Aid Training Statistics is a screen that provides the ability for users to enter Mental Health First Aid training data in the CMBHS application for reports. This data is reported monthly by LMHA’s/LBHA’s.
The ‘Mental Health First Aid Training Statistics’ feature has two components:

How to access the screen: Login as ‘DSHS System Administrator, MH First Aid Statistics and Security Administrator on Parent Provider and Program locations > Select Business Office > Mental Health First Aid Training Statistics
How to add monthly training data on New Training Statistics Form and save it on ‘Mental Health First Aid Training Statistics screen:

Audit Information
When LMHA/LBHA staff is on 'Mental Health First Aid Training Statistics' screen and the user selects one of the saved records and selects the 'View' control button, the system will display the 'Audit Information' section at the bottom of the page.
